Two New York credit unions were recently awarded Biz Kid$ Financial Education grants from the National Credit Union Foundation. Southern Chautauqua FCU in Lakewood and Ukrainian FCU in Rochester each received a grant.

The New York credit unions were two of 12 credit unions nationwide approved for the grants, which totaled $68,500. The grants are distributed to encourage credit unions and related organizations to use Biz Kid$—a credit union funded public television series that teaches kids about money management and entrepreneurship—and its curriculum to improve students’ financial well-being.
