The New York Credit Union Association’s Central New York Chapter recently hosted their ninth annual bowling tournament, known as the Curtin Cup, to raise funds for the New York Credit Union Foundation. The tournament was held at the AMF Strike ‘n Spare Lanes in Mattydale, New York.

The event featured 110 participants from seven credit unions. Compass FCU’s team, the “Compass Kegglers,” took home the Curtin Cup after rolling a 2,631 team series. The winning team included Tom O’Toole, John Cloonan, Jim Galletta and Mark Hondro.

Empower FCU teams won the mixed and women’s divisions, and AmeriCU Credit Union took first place in the men’s division.

The event was sponsored by OwnersChoice Funding, The Summit FCU, MONEY FCU, AmeriCU Credit Union, Empower FCU, and Riehlman, Shafer, & Shaw, LLC.

The Curtin Cup was created to honor the memory of credit union leader Ray Curtin, who died unexpectedly in July 2008. Curtin was CEO of Empower FCU and served as a chapter president and council member of the Association.
