Storm update: Assistance available for NYC CUs; here is how to help southeastern CUs

The New York Credit Union Association has been in contact with credit unions in the in the New York City area impacted by Tropical Storm Ida this week, alerting them that the New York Credit Union Foundation is prepared to help.

Credit unions facing challenges as a result of the storm are encouraged to contact Chris Pajak, the Association’s VP of member engagement, at (518) 437-8188 or via email at christopher.pajak@nycua.org.

Additionally, credit union professionals that would like to assist credit unions that have been affected by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana and elsewhere can donate to the National Credit Union Foundation’s disaster relief fund, CUAid. Through CUAid, funds can be quickly disbursed to credit union employees and volunteers in need. The National Credit Union Foundation is also working closely with staff at the Louisiana Credit Union League to direct disaster relief funds to credit union people affected by Hurricane Ida.
