Chapter event: Electronic payment industry, risk/compliance solutions

The Metropolitan Chapter of the New York Credit Union Association is hosting a hybrid session on Tuesday, Oct. 5 focusing on ATMs, the electronic payment industry and risk/compliance solutions. Interested participants can attend the event live or via Zoom.

The agenda includes:

  • Private Branding & ATM Management Offerings, presented by the ATM Division of Actors FCU;
  • State of the Electronic Payment Industry, focusing on fraud monitoring, peer-to-peer payment systems (Zelle) and digital card issues, presented by CO-OP Financial Services; and
  • Risk & Compliance Solutions, presented by Becky Garton, a consultant for CUNA Mutual Group.

The event will be held on the 14th floor of the AEA Building, located at 46th Street in Midtown. Registration and breakfast begins at 8:15 a.m., and the session will run from 9:10 a.m. to 11 a.m. RSVP for this event by emailing Marge Kazz, NYCUA engagement consultant, at margaret.kazz@nycua.org.

Other upcoming chapter events include the Westchester-Rockland & Catskill-Hudson Chapters’ Golf Tournament on Oct. 18. The event will benefit Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the New York Credit Union Foundation. Please register by Friday Oct. 1.

The New York Credit Union Association’s statewide chapters play an important role in promoting cooperation among credit unions at the local level. Through involvement with their local chapter, credit unions are able to take their efforts to a deeper level — and to reap the benefits of true collaboration.
