Webinar to explore what credit unions face amid war in Ukraine

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues, credit unions in both conflict and non-conflict zones continue to strive to serve their members and communities.

The joint World Council of Credit Unions, WOCCU, and Regional Credit Union Center for Central and Eastern Europe are hosting virtual event, “Help for Ukraine,” to share information about what credit unions and their members in Ukraine are currently facing.

The webinar, which will be held on May 10 at 9 a.m. Eastern time, will also focus on how WOCCU, Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions and the National Association of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions (Poland), and its credit unions, employees and members are providing humanitarian support in the short term, and how they plan to help in the recovery and rebuilding process for Ukrainian credit unions and their members in the long-term.

Those looking to assist credit unions impacted by the war in Ukraine can donate to the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions’ Ukraine Credit Union Displacement Fund.
