New York credit union professionals planning to attend the 2023 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference are reminded that the New York state room block is open through Friday, Jan. 13. CUNA GAC, the credit union industry’s premier advocacy event, returns to Washington, D.C. Feb. 26 to March 2, 2023.
Each year thousands of leaders from across the country come together to rally around a united cause to show legislators how their policies impact credit unions and their more than 130 million members. Credit unions from every state — including New York — will have the opportunity to deliver their messages directly to policymakers, an immeasurably important step in the movement’s advocacy efforts.
The in-person conference, which also includes a virtual option, will feature a wide range of informational breakout sessions, training and resources designed to help credit unions advance their communities and improve financial well-being for all.
The event will include a talk with 66th U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, hosted by CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. Attendees will hear insights and inspiration from this decades-long leader in politics, academia and business.
The Association will host a legislative briefing prior to the event, and a reception for New York attendees during the event. Additional details will be provided in the coming weeks.
New York attendees can find additional details and resources for the 2023 CUNA GAC on the Association’s website, which also includes a link to the conference website and registration page.
