The New York Credit Union Association’s 2019 Volunteer Leadership Conference, slated for Oct. 11-12 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, will feature two days of peer networking, entertainment and insightful presentations designed specifically for New York credit union board directors and supervisory committee members.
The popular event includes separate learning tracks for directors and supervisory committee members, ensuring the educational sessions are relevant and timely.
During this year’s conference, attendees will hear from the following presenters:
- Jason Boles, CEO of Fans Created, LLC, who will discuss how the credit union environment has changed, and will prepare attendees for tomorrow’s challenges;
- Stephen Schiltz, a CPA, who will discuss credit union trends and NCUA hot topics;
- Linda Bow, director of compliance for the Association, who will provide a compliance update for credit union volunteers; and
- Dennis McIntee, of the Leadership Development Group, who will teach attendees three skills for effective self-management; how to increase the level of trust within every relationship; and how managing an emotional state is the hidden key to high-performance.
