How credit unions can best serve low-income and underserved communities is the topic of an upcoming webinar that will be hosted by NCUA.
During the March 11 webinar, “Financial Inclusion: Pathways to Serving the Underserved,” participants will hear from NCUA and CFPB representatives, who will discuss:
- the current landscape of financial inclusion in the United States;
- barriers and challenges to low-income populations for financial inclusion; and
- innovations in financial inclusion.
“Expanding access and bringing affordable financial services to more people are embedded in the credit union ethos of ‘people helping people,’” NCUA Chairman Rodney E. Hood said. “I hope credit union stakeholders will take full advantage of this opportunity to hear from regulators and their industry peers.”
