It’s time to advocate for credit unions across the state at the New York Credit Union Association’s 2022 State Governmental Affairs Conference! Set for Monday and Tuesday at the Renaissance Albany Hotel, the 2022 State GAC is the chance for credit union professionals to connect directly with some of the most influential lawmakers, regulators and insiders in New York State government.
During the 2022 State GAC, credit union advocates will hear important and timely updates and meet directly with some of the most influential decision makers in state government. Advocacy is a year-round effort, but this annual event is when the power of the New York credit union movement is on full display!
Today, attendees will hear from featured speakers Adrienne Harris, New York State Department of Financial Services superintendent, and John Faso, who has led a distinguished career in public service. The event will also include a discussion on redistricting led by representatives from Brown & Weinraub, PLLC. Henry Meier, the Association’s SVP/general counsel, will provide attendees with a timely legislative briefing. Legislative visits are scheduled from 9 a.m. to through Tuesday afternoon.
Capitol-entry protocols
After being closed to the public for almost two years, the Capitol is being reopened to visitors (COVID access and procedures can be accessed here). Attendees participating in in-person visits are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Capitol entry protocols and come prepared with either proof of vaccination or a negative test result from within 48 hours.
