Tri-Chapter of WNY raises $13,000 for Oishei Children’s Hospital
The Association’s Tri-Chapter of Western New York’s Spring Gathering, held on May 14th in Amherst, proved to be a night of community spirit and generosity. During this gathering, members of the Chapter proudly presented a check for $13,000 to Oishei Children’s Hospital. This donation was raised through the chapter’s 2023 meat raffle and will support the hospital in its mission to provide specialized care to the region’s youngest patients.
John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, a prominent pediatric facility in Buffalo, offers a comprehensive range of pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults up to age 21, as well as maternity services for expectant mothers. As one of the few standalone children’s hospitals in New York State, Oishei Children’s plays an essential role in medical education as a teaching hospital affiliated with the Buffalo State University.
This donation by the Tri-Chapter of Western New York exemplifies the credit union mission of “people helping people,” highlighting their role in supporting important community assets like Oishei Children’s Hospital. The funds will help ensure that the hospital continues its vital work, providing exceptional care and making a positive impact on the lives of countless children and families.
