MCU Foundation Participates in Repack Event in Brooklyn

The MCU Foundation and Municipal Credit Union recently teamed up with City Harvest at the Cohen Community Food Rescue Center in Brooklyn for a “Repack” volunteer event. MCU volunteers helped sort and pack nearly 4,200 bags of fresh produce, including apples and corn, for distribution to food pantries across New York City.

The event supports City Harvest’s mission to rescue and deliver millions of pounds of food annually to New Yorkers facing hunger. MCU Foundation’s commitment to providing basic necessities aligns with its broader goal to “eliminate poverty—one New Yorker at a time.” Thank you to Municipal Credit Union and the Foundation for the work they’re doing to support food pantries in New York City!
