Young pros encouraged to connect through YP Network

Print

The New York Credit Union Association’s Young Professionals Commission and statewide network provide young professionals and volunteers across the state with numerous opportunities to connect and grow within the credit union movement.

Young credit union professionals and volunteers are encouraged to learn more about the credit union movement and get involved with the statewide email listserv, the YP Network. Through the network, participants can share email updates about networking, education and outreach opportunities.

Other Commission initiatives include:

  • Local meet-ups, which are free, local gatherings that are open to all credit union employees and volunteers ages 39 and younger. Agendas include valuable networking, industry presentations and community service projects and fundraisers. Meet-ups are held before or after work and are posted on the Association’s event calendar and in The Point;
  • Facebook community to share information and promote engagement among their peers; and
  • The Future Leaders Initiative—a comprehensive study, white paper and toolkit completed by the New York Credit Union Association and its Young Professionals Commission.
