The New York Credit Union Association’s management consultants are available to assist member credit unions with community charter requests. The Association has assisted many New York credit unions with the community charter process.

Most notably, the Association is able to help credit unions draft community charter business plans that have a long track record of NCUA approval. The Association can also help those credit unions clarify their business plans in the event that NCUA has any questions about the credit union’s field of membership expansion request.
