The New York Credit Union Association recently assisted Spencerport FCU with their community charter request, which was approved by NCUA, to serve Monroe and Orleans Counties.
The total combined population of the counties is more than 791,000. Previously, the credit union’s field of membership included seven towns in Monroe County.
“We are excited about the future and being able to reach more people with our fantastic loan rates, great deposit products and exceptional member service,” said Nancy Bodhorn, CEO of the Spencerport–based credit union.
The Association’s management consultants are available to assist member credit unions with drafting their community charter business plans and their applications to NCUA. For more information, contact Management Consultant Marge Kazz at margaret.kazz@nycua.org.
