Last month, the New York Credit Union Association announced plans for International Credit Union Week. As a reminder: The Association plans to hold a rally on the steps of the Capitol on Tuesday, October 17. There, a document and pledge will be unveiled that reaffirms the New York credit union movement’s commitment to their members, communities and philosophy for the next 100 years.
All credit union leaders, staff and volunteers are invited to attend.
A number of lawmakers have been invited to speak at the event, and a strong media presence is anticipated.
The rally will kick off at 10:30 a.m., and attendees should begin arriving between 9:45 and 10 a.m.
The event will be held outside on the steps to the Capitol (the West Staircase, overlooking West Capitol Park). In case of inclement weather, the Association has also reserved the Million Dollar Staircase inside the Capitol.
The Association will provide rally signs for attendees and general direction/coordination once attendees arrive at the event.
