Young professionals from the New York Credit Union Association’s Central New York Chapter recently hosted an educational and networking meet-up at The Retreat restaurant in Liverpool.

The event—which was facilitated by Young Professionals Commission member Jacqueline Noun, a senior commercial lending associate at Empower FCU—was part of the Commission’s ongoing effort to raise credit union awareness by supporting locally owned businesses.

During the meet-up, Association HR/Management Consultant Chris Pajak discussed a wide range of topics, including the history of credit unions and the credit union system today. He also provided the group with information on the Association, as well as other organizations and involvement opportunities for young credit union professionals and volunteers.

Noun also updated the group on the Central New York Chapter, the New York Credit Union Foundation and the Commission’s initiatives.
