George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, will discuss the challenges facing the nation in the 21st century during the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.
President Bush was sworn into office Jan. 20, 2001, and served as commander in chief for two consecutive terms. Since leaving office, Bush has focused his attention on the development of the George W. Bush Institute, which seeks to improve the human condition.
The 2018 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational session, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
