Registration is open for the 2017 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, and important lodging deadlines are approaching. As a reminder, New York attendees should register for the event through the CUNA GAC website and secure lodging through the New York Credit Union Association.

The deadline to secure lodging through the Association is Monday, Jan. 10, 2018. Reservations cancelled on or before this Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, will not be charged a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax. Reservations cancelled after Dec. 15 will be subject to a one night’s room and tax cancellation fee per room.

The 2018 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational session, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.

As previously reported, George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, will discuss the challenges facing the nation in the 21st century during this year’s conference.
