Association assists Hudson River Financial FCU with community charter expansion

25152023_769640479913606_146465095800893200_nNCUA recently approved Hudson River Financial FCU’s request for a community charter expansion. The credit union, headquartered in Mohegan Lake, was granted a charter to serve Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties. The combined population of the three counties in the new charter is just over 1,968,000.

The credit union previously served 68 school districts, including faculty, students and staff, employer groups, and associations.

The credit union’s President and CEO Thomas J. Powers, Jr. said that he and the staff “have a strong member service and technology focus, which has been deployed to acquire new members, deposits and loans. The community charter expansion is a great opportunity for our credit union to advance by serving consumers throughout the Hudson Valley.”

The New York Credit Union Association wrote the community charter plan for the credit union.
