New York advocates who are attending the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference are invited to join credit union leaders from throughout the state at the Let’s Connect New York welcome reception. The networking event will be held Sunday, Feb. 25, 5-6:30 p.m., at the Acadiana Restaurant—in the Bayou Meeting Room—located at 901 New York Avenue NW in Washington, D.C.
New York attendees are also reminded to complete and submit their Hill meeting request forms to help New York Credit Union Association staff secure meeting times with federal lawmakers. The forms are available on the Association’s website.
The 2018 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational session, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
As previously reported, George W. Bush, the 43rd president of the United States, will discuss the challenges facing the nation in the 21st century during this year’s conference.
