3 New Yorkers set to “crash” CUNA GAC

Three New York credit union employees from Bethpage FCU will get to “crash” the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference. A record 78 individuals are crashing the CUNA GAC this year.

This year’s crashers include the following New Yorkers, all of whom are Bethpage FCU employees:

  • Ivana Roman, segmentation specialist;
  • Kimberley Ruiz, community development relationship manager; and
  • Margaret Wolff, corporate communications coordinator and a member of the New York Credit Union Association’s Young Professionals Commission.

The “Crash the GAC” event is facilitated by the Cooperative Trust. In addition to the core schedule of events, CUNA GAC crashers will participate in exclusive workshops and mentor sessions with national credit union leaders. The 2018 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 25-March 1 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
