Association seeking feedback on NCUA’s potential bylaw changes

The New York Credit Union Association is seeking feedback on NCUA’s potential changes to federal credit union bylaws.

During their board meeting last month, the NCUA board of directors issued an Advanced Notice Of Proposed Rule Making seeking suggestions on amendments to the agency’s standard bylaws, which were last amended in 2007.

The agency is concerned that the process to amend the standard federal credit union bylaws is too complicated and time consuming. Currently, a federal credit union that wants to change its bylaws must request approval from NCUA.
