The stress testing proposal would allow certain credit unions to conduct their own stress tests in accordance with the NCUA’s requirements and allow those credit unions to incorporate the stress test results into their capital plan submissions.

The advertising proposal would create parity with banks. Specifically, it would allow another category for credit unions to communicate their status as “insured by NCUA” and eliminate the need for the statement to be included in certain radio and television advertisements.

Results from the board meeting will be posted on NCUA’s website and reported in The Point.
