The New York Credit Union Association Metropolitan Chapter’s 2018 Joy Cousminer workshop is approaching and registration is open.
The complimentary workshop, geared toward smaller asset-sized credit unions, will focus on accounting basics and the latest compliance updates.
The workshop will be held this Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the St. John’s Baptist Church in New York City.
The conference is named after the late Joy Cousminer, who was the longtime head of the former Bethex FCU in the Bronx. A frequent mentor of community development credit unions, Cousminer founded the “We Care Network” of small credit unions in New York in an effort to foster support and cooperation. The We Care Network became a training ground and idea-exchange hub for small credit unions.
This workshop is an extension of Cousminer’s work.
