Hudson River Financial FCU members and staff came together to help provide treats to both active military personnel and veterans, collecting 700 pounds of Halloween candy to donate to Soldiers’ Angels for their annual Treats for Troops donation drive. The candy will be distributed by Soldiers’ Angels to deployed service members around the world as well as to veterans in VA hospitals nationwide.

“We are thankful that our members, employees and our community came together to donate so much candy to a great cause,” said Thomas J. Powers, president/CEO of Hudson River Financial FCU. “The amount of contributions we collected displays our commitment to the philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ and the level of appreciation that we all have for our nation’s military and veterans. We thank them for their dedicated service, and thank Soldiers’ Angels for the great work they do.”
