The board of directors at Sidney FCU has named James H. Reynolds as the credit union’s new president/CEO. Reynolds, who most recently served as SVP of operations and chief operating officer at Empower FCU, will begin his new role Jan. 1.
“The Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Jim Reynolds to Sidney Federal Credit Union,” said Board Chairman Scott McLean. “We are highly confident in Jim’s ability to lead our organization forward based on his demonstrated leadership skills and experience as well as his extensive knowledge of the credit union industry as a whole.”
Reynolds is a central New York native with extensive experience in the credit union movement. He began his career in credit unions in 1996, and has—in addition to his most recent role at Empower FCU—held the titles of business development account executive, director of sales and VP of communications. He’s also been active with a number of community and charitable organizations.
As previously reported in The Point, Sidney FCU’s longtime President/CEO Jim Doig will retire at year-end. Doig has served in that role since 1997 and has been an active member of the New York credit union community over the past two decades.
“I am excited to relocate to the Sidney area, support the community and continue the longstanding success of Sidney Federal Credit Union and my predecessor President/CEO Jim Doig, who is retiring after 22 years as the credit union’s leader,” said Reynolds.
