What is CU Reality Check?

2019 Credit Union Reality Check

CU Reality Check—hosted by the New York Credit Union Association, New Jersey Credit Union League and Pennsylvania Credit Union Association—will take place Feb. 18-20 at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The hotel registration deadline is Jan. 24.

The annual event was created for credit union leaders who want to engage with their peers and learn more about up-to-date topics in the credit union industry. The boutique conference has become a must-attend event for many credit union professionals who value timely education sessions and unique networking experiences.

“The New York Credit Union Association is excited to co-host this unique event with our peers from New Jersey and Pennsylvania,” said Association President/CEO William J. Mellin. “So often we talk about the importance of statewide networking and education, but there are important lessons to learn from our colleagues in other states. CU Reality Check provides us with the opportunity to both strengthen our in-state connections and expand our network to those outside of New York.”

The event will feature dynamic speakers, hard-hitting topics, continuous networking and more. Presenters include: Michael Useem, keynote speaker, professor of management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and director of the center for leadership and change management; Kate Delaney, an Emmy-award winning journalist and sports radio talk show host; and Chris Field, founder of the Mercy Project.

In addition to the conference, CU Reality Check will include a first-ever Tri-State Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament on the first day of the conference from 2-5 p.m. at the Borgata. The pre-conference event is open to the first eight registered players per state.
