Daniel Rourke, the longtime president/CEO of First Heritage FCU, will retire Feb. 1, the credit union recently announced. Thomas Pisano has been selected to serve as president/CEO of the credit union upon Rourke’s retirement.
Rourke was appointed president/CEO of the Painted Post, New York-based credit union over 10 years ago and has been involved with the credit union movement for over 25 years.
First Heritage experienced tremendous growth during Rourke’s tenure. Under his leadership, assets and deposits each grew by 50 percent, fueling a loan growth of over 170 percent and bringing the credit union’s total loan portfolio to over $300 million. Membership grew by 27 percent, with Rourke leading the path into new markets by opening branch locations in both Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and Hornell, New York.
“As I reflect on my experiences here at First Heritage, I realize how fortunate I’ve been to work with so many wonderful and dedicated individuals,” said Rourke. “We’ve worked hard and had fun creating an organization where employee ideas and contributions have been so important to our success.”
Pisano and Rourke have been working together since January 2018 to implement transition plans and long-term strategies for the credit union.
