New York credit union advocates attending the 2019 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference are strongly encouraged to submit their Hill Meeting Request forms to help New York Credit Union Association staff secure meeting times with federal lawmakers.

The forms should be submitted by no later than Friday, March 1, 2019.

Meetings will be scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, between 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and each meeting should last approximately 15 minutes.

The 2019 CUNA GAC will be held March 10-14 in Washington, D.C. The CUNA GAC is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational session, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.

During the third day of CUNA GAC, attendees will visit the offices of federal lawmakers to advocate for priority federal level legislation. Staff from the Association will use the Hill Meeting Request forms to ensure CUNA GAC attendees are matched appropriately with the federal lawmakers who represent each credit union’s district.
