New York credit unions that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to Hispanic outreach can earn the Juntos Avanzamos designation through Inclusiv, formerly known as the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.

To receive the designation, credit unions must demonstrate a strategic plan for improving service to Hispanics, offer bilingual services and information, collaborate with community organizations that support Hispanics, offer affordable products and services relevant to the immigrant consumer, and offer financial education in Spanish and English.

The application deadline to become a Juntos Avanzamos credit union is Wednesday, May 29.

Additionally, Inclusiv will also host a webinar on Thursday, June 20, from 1-2 p.m. titled “Banking on Hispanics for growth: the importance of serving the Hispanic market.”
