Credit union leaders, professionals and volunteers from throughout the state are gathering in Bolton Landing on Lake George today for EXCEL 19, the New York Credit Union Association’s Annual Meeting & Convention.
This year’s event will include inspiring featured speakers, timely Learning Labs, numerous networking opportunities, important fundraising events and more.
EXCEL 19 kicks off today with the CUNA Mutual Group Golf Tournament to benefit the New York Credit Union Foundation. This evening includes several signature events, including the EXPO/Welcome Reception sponsored by Alloya Corporate FCU, the Wine Pull to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and the Young Professionals Commission YP Kickoff at Caldwell’s.
Tomorrow, the EXPO will open at 7:30 a.m. The opening ceremonies and general session will begin with opening remarks by Association President/CEO William J. Mellin and board Chairwoman Marie Betti, CEO/treasurer of Western New York FCU.
Following their remarks, attendees will hear from Jim Nussle, president/CEO of CUNA; Dr. Kevin Elko, a motivational speaker; and Jason Dorsey, a best-selling author.
The speakers will be followed by the Luncheon Awards Ceremony, where attendees will recognize leading credit unions, professionals and volunteers. Friday’s agenda also includes a number of educational Learning Labs, as well as the CUPAC auction and reception.
EXCEL 19 will continue Saturday with presentations from acclaimed filmmaker Brett Culp, and interdisciplinary designer, facilitator and strategist Brent Dixon. The day will also include additional Learning Labs, the Chair’s Testimonial Reception and the Gala Dinner featuring the Silver Arrow Band.
The event will conclude Sunday with the 2019 Annual Meeting.
