Young credit union professionals and volunteers can still register for federal advocacy trainings on Sept. 9 and Sept. 23 in Washington, D.C. The events will focus on the importance of advocacy for young professionals early in their careers.
The full-day program, hosted by CUNA, will teach attendees the benefits of advocacy, how to build strong relationships with their members of Congress and best practices for district and Capitol Hill meetings with lawmakers.
The trainings will feature insightful speakers, a panel discussion and updates from industry experts. Notably, Kendra Rubin, the New York Credit Union Association’s VP of Governmental Affairs, will share her insights with attendees during the Sept. 23 session. New York attendees can then join the Association and credit union advocates from the state on Sept. 24 for an exclusive Hike the Hill event.
The trainings will take place at the Credit Union House, located at 403 C St. NE in Washington, D.C.
