United Nations FCU will host a complimentary event on credit union sustainability Oct. 23 in New York City. The event will explore how credit unions can use environmentally responsible practices to drive value, engagement and organizational growth through sustainability initiatives.

The second annual “United in Sustainability” event will be held 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan. The summit will be led by sustainability experts from the United Nations, the credit union movement and other industry experts. Topics include:
- how the financial sector is leading progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals;
- the business case for sustainability; and
- measuring and reporting on organizational performance and sustainability initiatives.
The event will also feature a panel discussion on how sustainability is enhancing growth at credit unions, networking opportunities, an interactive workshop and more.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, and seating is limited. A reception and an optional private tour of the UN are available for attendees following the event.
Participants must bring a government-issued photo ID. Attendees will be provided with UN Grounds Passes at the UN Visitors Entrance located at First Avenue and East 46th St.
