More than a dozen low-income credit unions in New York were awarded with NCUA grants to help improve digital services and security, increase outreach to underserved communities and train employees. In total, NCUA provided $1.9 million to the 155 credit union grant recipients.
The New York grant recipients include:
- Adirondack Regional FCU;
- Alternatives FCU;
- Cadets FCU;
- Consumers FCU;
- Finger Lakes FCU;
- Hudson Heritage FCU;
- Korean American Catholics FCU;
- Lower East Side People’s FCU;
- Olean-Area FCU;
- Oswego County FCU;
- Rockland Employees FCU;
- Saint Lawrence FCU;
- ServU FCU; and
- Southern Chautauqua FCU.
NCUA awarded 73 grants totaling $550,612 in the digital services and security category; 46 grants totaling $217,369 in the training category; and 11 grants totaling $972,742 in the underserved outreach category.
