Young credit union professionals and volunteers can apply to “crash” the 2020 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
The “Crash the GAC” initiative is facilitated by the Cooperative Trust. Event crashers are credit union young professionals or volunteers who are sponsored to attend the conference at a lower cost and with additional content designed especially for them. Crashers receive professional development tools, meet with industry leaders, network with peers and experience each event in a dynamic way.
To apply, visit the Cooperative Trust website. Applications must be received by tomorrow, Dec. 6.
The 2020 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 23-27. It is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
As previously reported, Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former governor of South Carolina, will provide a keynote speech at the event. Additional information, agenda details and speakers will be provided in the weeks ahead.
