The New York Credit Union Foundation board of trustees elected new officers at their recent meeting. The trustees are responsible for establishing policies to guide the Foundation and generally oversee its operation.
John Felton, manager/CEO of Southern Chautauqua FCU, was elected chairman of the Foundation.
Laurie Wiest, VP of human resources & organizational development at The Summit FCU, was named vice-chair.
Jody Carpenter, VP of marketing & business development at UFirst FCU, was named secretary/treasurer.
The Foundation is the charitable arm of the New York credit union movement. By providing grants and other financial aid, the Foundation helps credit unions: teach critical financial skills to adults, youth and children; enhance member service with new technologies and initiatives; provide staff and volunteers with training opportunities; and distribute relief funds to those impacted by natural disasters.
