New York credit union advocates attending the 2020 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference are strongly encouraged to submit their Hill Meeting Request forms to help New York Credit Union Association staff secure meeting times with federal lawmakers.
Meetings will be scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, approximately 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and each meeting should last approximately 15 minutes.
The 2020 CUNA GAC will be held Feb. 23-27, in Washington, D.C. The event is considered the premier event for political impact in the credit union industry, drawing thousands of credit union advocates from across the country each year. In addition to the keynote and educational sessions, the event also includes face-to-face meetings with some of the most influential policymakers in the country.
As previously reported, Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and former governor of South Carolina, will provide a keynote speech at the conference. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
To learn more or register, visit the Association’s website. As a reminder, New York attendees should secure lodging through the Association and register for the event through CUNA.
