The New York Credit Union Association continues to update resources that are available to credit unions during the COVID-19 pandemic, including its online coronavirus/pandemic resource page.
The Association’s coronavirus/pandemic resource page can assist credit unions with navigating issues related to the 2019 novel coronavirus and other pandemics and outbreaks. New information and resources are added as the Association receives it.
New to the resource page is a recording of the Association’s monthly web conference held on Wednesday, where guest presenter John M. Bagyi, Esq., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, provided important human resources, employment and labor law updates. Bagyi answered a range of pressing COVID-related employment concerns for credit unions to consider, including the impacts of New York state’s current travel advisory. The Association has received many inquiries regarding whether credit unions have to pay employees who must quarantine and cannot work while doing so.
In addition to compiling resources for credit unions on its website, Association staff is available to answer specific operational, human resources or compliance questions member credit unions may have related to the coronavirus.
The coronavirus resource page can be accessed on the Association’s website.
