Here’s what NCUA has planned for its upcoming board meeting

The NCUA board of directors will hold its monthly board meeting next week, on Thursday, Sept. 17. The virtual meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and will be streamed live on the agency’s website.

The board will consider Final Rule, Part 722 regarding real estate appraisals and the Bank Secrecy Act customer identification program exemption. Two board briefings will focus on the Share Insurance Fund quarterly report and a Modern Examination and Risk Identification Tool update.

Although the Senate Banking Committee has approved Kyle Hauptman’s nomination to the NCUA Board, his nomination has yet to go before the full Senate. He would replace Board Member J. Mark McWatters, if confirmed.

McWatters, a Republican whose term expired last year, agreed to remain on the NCUA board until his replacement was determined. Hauptman would join Chairman Rodney Hood, also a Republican, and Todd M. Harper, a Democrat.

The full agenda and results from the meeting will be posted on NCUA’s website, and a recap will be provided in The New York Minute.
