
Today is the final day to register for the New York Credit Union Association’s virtual 2020 Compliance & Legal Conference, slated for Oct. 6-7. The event will include two days of learning to help credit union leaders tackle some of the most pressing regulatory and legal issues facing their institutions.
Participants will hear from leading attorneys and compliance experts, who will discuss the difficult legal and regulatory issues credit unions should be preparing for.
The event, which runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. both days, will feature:
- a discussion on New York paid sick leave and new employment laws by John Bagyi, Esq., SPHR, SHRM-SCP of Bond, Schoeneck & King Attorneys;
- a compliance update from Sarah Hodgens, the Association’s director of compliance;
- a look at the cases that may impact credit unions by Henry Meier, the Association’s SVP and general counsel; and
- a discussion on CECL by Jared Mills, CPA and manager of Advisory Services Team, Abrigo.
