The deadline for credit unions to register for the New York Credit Union Association’s annual, statewide College Scholarship Program is approaching.
The deadline for credit unions to register for the program is Oct. 30. All completed scholarship applications must be submitted online to the Association by Jan. 8, 2021, and scholarship recipients will be announced in late April or early May.
The entire College Scholarship Program registration process for credit unions is now accessible online. With just one application, college-bound members are able to easily apply for up to three scholarships:
- the Association’s Statewide College Scholarship Program;
- the participating credit union’s scholarship (if one is offered); and
- the participating Chapter scholarship (if one is offered).
In 2020, participating credit unions awarded $30,000 in scholarships to 49 students through the program.
The Association’s Scholarship Program is an easy and cost-effective way to offer members the chance to receive a scholarship from the Association, your credit union (if you offer one) and your Chapter (based on chapter participation) simultaneously.
