First New York FCU collecting personal hygiene products for donation

0TREES2018

First New York FCU is once again collecting rolls of toilet paper and personal hygiene products at all of its branches and at their company headquarters this holiday season.

The credit union is undertaking the initiative to assist Catholic Charities Tri-County Services, an agency made up of programs that assist those in need with basic necessities. Notably, individuals who are on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as food stamps or SNAP, are not permitted to purchase personal hygiene products—including deodorant, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent or toilet paper—through the program.

In addition to toilet paper, the credit union is collecting personal hygiene items, including deodorant, soap, shampoo and more.

Donations can be made through Dec. 10.
