The New York Credit Union Association and other state leagues from across the country have partnered with CUNA to offer weekly complimentary webinars aimed at tackling the most important issues and subjects facing smaller-asset sized credit unions.
Geared toward credit unions with assets up to $100 million, the CUNA-League System Small CU Webinar Series, which is sponsored by CUNA Mutual Group, includes timely topics, including new member growth, technology best practices, succession planning, marketing, board engagement and much more.
Tuesday’s program, “Vulnerability is Leadership,” will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with a presentation by Dr. OJ Oleka and hosted by the Kentucky Credit Union League.
Participants will discuss how leaders often feel like every decision is critical to the success of a team, organization or bottom line and, as a result, there is tremendous pressure to get every decision right. During crisis leadership, particularly during the pandemic, that pressure is heightened. Oleka will lead an honest conversation on the humanity of leadership and how understanding your imperfections as a human being can help in maximizing your potential as a great leader.
With every league and CUNA committed to hosting a weekly webinar, sessions began Aug. 4 and are scheduled through spring 2021, allowing the Association to record and create a library of 30-plus sessions packed with ideas and actionable information to help credit unions.
