Credit unions, lenders talk stimulus, PPP with Schumer

Credit unions joined with other lenders Monday afternoon on a call with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York.

Participants, which included New York Credit Union Association leaders, discussed the most recent stimulus package and thanked Schumer for his work expanding the Payroll Protection Program. Also on the agenda was talk about funding options available to small- and minority-owned businesses.

Schumer, who is slated to become the Senate majority leader after two Democrats won their Senate runoff elections last week in Georgia, has long been a friend to credit unions.
