Credit unions can learn about ways to create an inclusive culture for all

In its continuing commitment to bring awareness and educational programming on the subject of diversity, equity and inclusion to the membership, the New York Credit Union Association is collaborating with peer credit union leagues in the northeast to host an open conversation on the subject at 10 a.m. on April 8.

Participants in the complimentary webinar, “Creating an Inclusive Culture for All,” will hear from Keith Hunt, the state of Delaware’s first chief diversity and inclusion officer, whose early experience at Proctor & Gamble — which was predominantly white male in the mid 1970s — helped shape his philosophy and understanding around the possibilities of breaking down barriers around sex and racism within an organization.

Hunt will lead a discussion with participants that will focus on:

  • the distinction between diversity, equity, and inclusion and how the three integrate within an organization;
  • strategies to pursue and avoid in implementing DEI at your credit union;
  • DEI best practices for credit unions of all asset sizes; and
  • making DEI a sustainable initiative at your credit union.

Interested participants can register on the Association’s website.
