YP Commission seeks nominations: Help empower the next generation of CU leaders

Are you, or do you know a young credit union professional who is passionate about advocacy, networking and the credit union movement? The New York Credit Union Association is currently seeking new candidates to serve on the Young Professionals Commission.

The Commission is composed of credit union professionals, ages 39 and younger. Members are tasked with developing strategies to help credit unions attract and engage young adult members, employees and volunteers. Each term is two years, and there are currently several open seats available for nomination.

Nominations are being accepted through April 30. Individuals interested in serving on the Commission should speak with their managers or CEOs to begin the nomination process. Only one representative per credit union is permitted on the Commission at a time. Complete details, including the nomination form, are available on the Association’s website.

Questions regarding the Young Professionals Commission nomination process can be directed to Chris Pajak, vice president of member engagement at christopher.pajak@nycua.org or (800) 342-9835 ext. 8188.
