Young professionals look to the future during October planning session

The New York Credit Union Association’s Young Professionals Commission, which helps New York credit unions engage, connect and empower the next generation of credit union leaders held a two-day planning event at Visions FCU in Syracuse last week.

In addition to their planning meeting, members of the commission also participated in a panel discussion with four credit union leaders. Alissa Sykes Tulloch, chief experience officer of AmeriCU Credit Union, Christina Sauve, CEO of Cooperative FCU, Chris Sheffield, director of digital at Visions FCU and Chris Pajak, VP of member engagement with the Association, served on the panel. Pajak also led a presentation providing more background on the credit union system, current trends in the industry and the benefits of Association membership to educate the commission on where and how they fit in to the bigger picture.

The Commission is composed of credit union professionals, ages 39 and younger. Members are tasked with developing strategies to help credit unions attract and engage young adult members, employees and volunteers. Learn more about the Young Professionals Commission on the Association’s website.
