CU professionals can take advantage of these upcoming learning opportunities

Credit union professionals can participate in a number of virtual NCUA events, including a special International Credit Union Day webinar, in the coming weeks.

  • Oct. 21, 2 p.m.: Pathways to Safe and Affordable Account Access for Consumers webinar. This special International Credit Union Day webinar will highlight safe, low-cost transactional and savings accounts that are responsive to the needs of consumers, particularly the underserved. Interested participants can register for this 90-minute event here.
  • Oct. 27, 2 p.m.: Bias in Home Appraisals and the Racial Homeownership Gap webinar. This webinar will highlight how systemic and institutionalized discrimination in the U.S housing system has created a wide wealth gap between races, and experts will share strategies on closing the homeownership gap and eliminating appraisal bias.   • Oct. 28, 3 p.m.: NCUA Automated Cybersecurity Evaluation Toolbox webinar. The webinar will feature a video presentation about the NCUA’s Automated Cybersecurity Evaluation Toolbox followed by a question-and-answer session moderated by staff from the NCUA’s Offices of Credit Union Resources and Expansion and Examination and Insurance.   • Nov. 2-4: DEI Summit 2021. The goal of the summit, “From Intention to Action,” is to provide credit union industry professionals who are committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion a forum to share best practices, address challenges to advancing diversity and learn how the NCUA can support the industry in in its efforts.
