Fintech Forum: a new, online community for CU leaders, fintechs and partners

CMFG Ventures, CUNA Mutual Group’s venture capital arm, is launching Fintech Forum, a new online community for credit union leaders, fintechs and industry partners, with the goal of fostering innovation, sharing knowledge and discussing topics impacting the future of financial services.

Through the new collaboration, credit unions will have the opportunity to learn about and have access to solutions that position them to attract new business and grow their membership. The Fintech Forum will work to identify and match credit union needs and challenges to relevant solutions and provide credit unions access to pilots, demos, research and partnerships to help them remain competitive.

“Tapping into the latest fintech solutions allows credit unions to provide the best service to members and remain competitive,” said Brian Kaas, president and managing director of CMFG Ventures. “Through the Fintech Forum, we’re excited to give credit unions greater access to top fintech companies and the latest trends, as well as an environment for ongoing collaboration and learning from peers. Serving 95% of credit unions in the country, we are uniquely positioned to bring this community together and build strong connections between credit unions and fintechs.”

Interested participants can join the Fintech Forum here. Membership is complimentary.

The Car Buying Revolution: Future of Auto Purchasing and Financing
The first Fintech Forum, set for 2 p.m. on Dec. 9, will focus on the future of auto buying and its impact on credit union auto lending.

The event will feature representatives from CUNA Mutual Group, CMFG Ventures and CarSaver, who will discuss how major auto retailers and online marketplaces are reimagining the car buying experience and going directly to consumers with algorithms that lessen the burden of finding the perfect vehicle. They will share with credit unions how they can redefine their digital roadmap to maintain their competitiveness in the auto-lending space.
