New York’s credit unions are encouraged to share their community impact efforts through the New York Credit Union Impact Report survey. The survey will remain open until Friday, Jan. 14.
Credit unions continued to make an extraordinary impact in their communities this past year — all while continuing to deal with the challenges of the ongoing pandemic. Policymakers, the media and the general public should all know about these efforts! That’s where the New York Credit Union Impact Report comes in.
The Impact Report illustrates and quantifies these efforts statewide, resulting in a powerful advocacy tool for the credit union movement. The Association collects this information each year via the Impact Report Survey, and your participation in the survey is critical. The more data and information we receive from credit unions, the better final result we will have. This survey allows the Association to compile, quantify and share the results of those efforts on a statewide level.
The report documents New York credit unions’ impact in the following key areas:
- adult financial education/counseling;
- community outreach and investment;
- immigrant outreach;
- youth financial education; and
- sustainability.
